Thank you all so much for attending the first, “Aerodynamics for Private Pilots.”  Close to 30 people attended the lecture and this tells me that we need to keep this type of program alive.  Therefore, I have decided to continue the discussion to expand on what was covered first, angle of attack.  I will post another event for March 11, a week and a half from now and it will continue the discussion on aerodynamics to cover the importance of stability.  I will discuss the major players that effect how to properly control the angle of attack, such as P-factor and adverse yaw, to name a few.  It is important to understand the underlying methods that make an airplane, “flyable.”  This time however, there will be a short intermission with snacks.  A donation to the chapter would be greatly appreciated.  I hope that you will join me as we explore these subjects in an effort to make you more aware of what is taking place when you pilot your craft among the clouds.  Hopefully it will make you a safer and more efficient pilot.
