About the Class:


Bill Davis, ATA, CFI, CFII in conjunction with Chapter 582 President, Jeff Hamons will instruct a Private Pilot Knowledge course to prepare pilots to take and pass the FAA Knowledge exam. 


When:


Class will start March 12 and go through April 2016 at 8:30 to 11:30 AM Saturdays, consisting of 6, 3 hour sessions (No class, March 26th and April 9th).


Where:


The Thomas Walch Teaching Facility located in the EAA Chapter 582 Hangar at KTDZ. 


The Cost:


The cost will be $199.00 USD and will include the Gleim Red study book and the Gleim FAA Prep Test online, plus refreshments every Saturday mornings. 



What to Expect:


Students will prepare for class by taking the Gleim online FAA prep tests for the chapters assigned before Class. In class a lecture and discussion of the assigned chapter material will be held to clear up any questions. There are 11 chapters in the Red book. Each week the student will be assigned 2-3 chapters to review. Out of class preparation work will be accomplished using the Gleim FAA online test prep. Plan on studying 2 hours for each chapter each week. Participants will be expected to do the out of class work if they want to pass the FAA exam. In addition Real World VFR and IFR cases will be shown and discussed to help stimulate interest in aviation.
